2. For what purposes and on what basis do we process your personal data?

Personal data is processed, for example, to handle complaint cases, to help consumers in finding a local retailer for a product, or to clarify the matter or question of another kind of contact request.

In addition, non-person contact information can be used to compile statistics on, for example, the number and timing of complaints and product defects in order to improve production and product quality.

3. What kind of personal data do we process and where do we collect the data?

In situations where the person is in contact with us themselves, either using the Contact Us -form, the Where to Buy -form or by sending us an e-mail, we collect the following information:

  • E-mail address
  • First and last name
  • Address and/or locality (if this is necessary, for example, in the event of a complaint or in the investigation of a local retailer for a particular product.)
  • Phone number (if the handling of a complaint case demands it for example)

If you contact us by e-mail, please do not provide anything other than your necessary contact information. We will ask for more information if needed. The mandatory fields are marked with * in the forms. 

If necessary, for example, in the event of a complaint, to pay compensation, we may ask for an account number separately for a refund.

4. To which parties do we disclose data and transfer data outside the EU or EEA?

As a rule, we do not disclose your personal data further outside the Orthex Group, nor do we transfer your personal data outside the EU or EEA.

5. How do we protect data and how long do we store it?

Data is stored in information systems that use both technical and programmatic means to ensure data security and to control the use of data. The data is processed only by Orthex employees who need to see the information for each case.

The data is stored for as long as it is necessary to resolve each issue, such as a complaint or other issue. Complaint data that does not combine personal data can be processed retrospectively for a longer period of time.

6. Your rights as a data subject in connection with the processing of data

Requests for the rights of data subjects must be sent to the address mentioned in paragraph 1. As a data subject, you have the following rights:

Right to access and right to request rectification and erasing of data

  • You have the right to inspect the data stored in the personal data file concerning you and the right to request the rectification of incorrect data and the erasure of the data.

Right of objection and right to restriction of processing

  • You have the right to object or request restrictions on the processing of your data.

Right to file a complaint to a supervisory authority

  • You have the right to file a complaint with a supervisory authority, especially in the EU Member State where your permanent place of residence or place of work is located, or where the alleged infringement has occurred, if you consider that the processing of personal data concerning you violates the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Orthex website uses cookies. We use cookies to improve the user experience, to analyse the website use and to target marketing.

Necessary cookies are required for the technical functionality of the website and the use of services and are always automatically in use. Analytical cookies measure the number of website visitors and collect data on their site navigation. With marketing cookies, we can create target groups and show users advertisements that interest them on the websites of our cooperation partners.

About cookies

Cookies are files sent by web servers to web browsers and stored by the web browsers. The information is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server. This enables a web server to identify and track web browsers.

We use cookies to collect data on the user via Google Analytics tools of how people use our website and thus to for example improve the usability of the website.
